Noeline Sherwin was born in Napier, New Zealand and moved to Melbourne in 1969.  She exhibited linocuts and watercolours of Australian flora at the Wildlife Art Society of Australasia Exhibitions during the 1980's.  Her work is included in private collections in Australia and overseas.

The "Illustration Index to Australian Art", La Trobe University Library Publication no.35, 1990 is illustrated with seven of her floral linocuts.

In 2007 she shared an exhibition of botanical art, "Stiches and Stamens", with Sue Martin, textile artist.

She has exhibited at The Art of Botanical Illustration Exhibitions in Melbourne from 2000 to 2008 and at the Australian Guild of Realist Artists' 2004 Exhibition "In Celebration of the Fine Art of Drawing".

In 2008 Noeline's painting Ferocactus pringlei was selected for inclusion in the Illustrated Garden Collection, a digital and photographic record of plants growing in the Royal Botanic Garden, Melbourne,
