This pen and ink drawing was done from the same Banksia and lichens in the watercolour painting that was bought by the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, in 2002 from THE ART OF BOTANICAL ILLUSTRATION EXHIBITION. The original painting is in the State Collection, which is held in the National Herbarium of Victoria ..see here for details.
Specimen Location: Rotamah Island, East Gippsland in Victoria, where this coastal Banksia is indigenous.
Mediums Used: Script Pen, Ink, drawn on Drafting film. Matt boards are of museum quality being 100% cotton and are acid free.. Painted using a microscope Framed 392mm(width) x 438mm(height), of wood with a silver painted surface (27mm thickness). UnFramed - (currently framed) Weight Framed 1.9kg
